Keowee-Toxaway State Park offers views of the Blue Ridge foothills from the shore of Lake Keowee. The Jocassee Gorges Visitor Center has exhibits and information and serves as a gateway to the gorges. Two hiking trails cross a natural bridge and wander through land once traveled by Cherokee people, and a half-mile trail leads to the lake for fishing for bass, bream, crappie and catfish. A three-bedroom rental cabin has a lake overlook and private dock, and campsites with water and electric hookups sit a short distance from the water.
