Devils Fork State Park is the only public access point to Lake Jocassee, a clear, cool 7,565-acre mountain lake ringed by the largely undeveloped Jocassee Gorges. Four mountain streams and several waterfalls feed the lake, some reachable only by boat. The lake is a top choice for trout fishing, scuba diving and swimming. In spring, the Oconee Bell Nature Trail passes the rare Oconee bell wildflower. Visitors can stay in a furnished villa or in one of two campgrounds near the water.
