Rock Creek Lake State Recreation Area is a 54-acre area in southwestern Nebraska built around a 50-acre no-wake lake, where boats are limited to 5 mph and there is one ramp and one dock. Anglers catch channel catfish, largemouth bass, rainbow trout, redear sunfish, and yellow perch, and rainbow trout are stocked seasonally. The area has about 20 picnic tables, 16 grills, and a playground, and it is a good place to watch wildlife. Rock Creek Hatchery is two miles north. There are 23 non-pad campsites without electricity, first-come, first-served, with vault toilets. Campers should bring their own water because no fresh water is available on site.
