About this park
Morrow Mountain State Park is in Stanly County, about 50 miles northeast of Charlotte. Adventures range from the namesake summit to the Yadkin River State Trail and the shores of Lake Tillery. The mountain is a geologic study, with Native American artifacts made of rhyodacite and argillite. Civilian Conservation Corps crews quarried the stone for many of the park's structures. Camping and swimming are available.
