High Point is the summit of the Kittatinny Ridge and rises 1,803 feet above sea level, the highest elevation in New Jersey. The ridge was shaped by continental collisions, mile-high ice sheets and centuries of erosion, and the summit has views of three states and uncommon plants and animals. The park is home to the High Point Monument and the New Jersey Veterans' Memorial. The monument interior is open as staffing permits. Campsites and cabins are available.
