Swartswood Lake was purchased in 1914 for public enjoyment, long before it became a state park. The 519-acre natural glacial lake is remote and rural, and only electric motors are permitted, so the water is quiet with colorful sailboats, kayaks and canoes. The park has camping, picnicking and swimming. The gate and park office are open daily.
