About this park

Guernsey State Park surrounds Guernsey Reservoir on the North Platte River. It has a museum open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 1 through September 30, a dump station and yurts that are open April 16 through October 14. Reservations run May 15 through September 15, while the Newell Bay, Powell Mountain, Upper Spotted Tail and Skyline campgrounds are first-come, first-served. Water systems close on September 30, and boat ramps close at the end of the summer season. There are no aquatic invasive species inspection stations at Guernsey, so boaters are told to stop at one elsewhere (such as Cheyenne, Glendo Reservoir, Manville or Torrington) before arriving. The page also lists an algal bloom advisory, and some areas (Fish Canyon, Fish Canyon Cove, Skyline) are closed or unavailable as of its last update.
