Magnolia Grove is a Greek Revival house built around 1840. It was the boyhood home of Spanish-American War hero and U.S. Congressman Richmond Pearson Hobson. Visitors can see original furnishings and family portraits, magnolia trees, a boxwood garden, a detached kitchen, and a slave house with interpretive exhibits. The Alabama Historical Commission owns the house and the Historic Magnolia Grove Foundation operates it. It is a historic house museum with no camping; call to confirm hours.
