About this park
Myrtle Beach State Park is an oceanfront maritime forest on the Grand Strand, a quiet green escape from the busy beach resort next door. It has a nature trail, a nature center, educational programs and a long fishing pier with a gift shop. Surf fishing is among the best in the state, and the park's campground, close to the pier and shoreline, is one of the most popular on the coast. Six rental cabins built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s are available as well. The park is open daily with longer hours from March to November.
