Governor Patterson State Park is a beachcomber's delight, with miles of flat, sandy beach and a short hike to the mouth of Alsea Bay. Visitors windsurf, crab or simply watch the seals. The site is excellent for whale and storm watching, and sunsets here are a favorite for photographers.
