Cane Creek State Park sits where the Coastal Plain meets the Mississippi Delta, so visitors see both landscapes in one trip. Its trail system is a point of pride, with rolling terrain, lakeside paths and three suspension bridges for running, riding or backpacking. Cane Creek Lake is open for paddling and fishing, and nearby Bayou Bartholomew is billed as the world's longest bayou. Interpretive programs include guided walking, biking, kayaking and birding tours. The campground has 29 sites (11 Class A and 18 Class B). The visitor center is open daily 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from March through November, with shorter weekend hours in winter.
