Arkansas Post Museum is a complex of five exhibit buildings that explore life on the Grand Prairie and in the Arkansas Delta from 1877 to today. The Main House is the entrance, and two buildings on the grounds are original to the Grand Prairie: the 1877 Refeld-Hinman Loghouse, a dogtrot cabin furnished in the style of the 1800s, and the 1933 Carnes-Bonner Playhouse, a miniature version of the Carnes family home with children's furnishings and toys. The museum is open Wednesday-Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m., and is closed Mondays, Tuesdays and major holidays.
