Aztalan is a National Historic Landmark and one of Wisconsin's most important archaeological sites, showing an ancient Middle-Mississippian village that thrived between A.D. 1000 and 1300. The people who settled here built large, flat-topped pyramidal mounds. The park is a day-use property open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. year round.
