About this park
Okobojo Point Recreation Area, about 17 miles northwest of Pierre, has rolling hills, wide prairie and one of the best views along the Missouri River. Miles of sandy beach invite visitors to play in the water, play volleyball, fish from shore or walk by the waves. Lake Oahe offers hours of outdoor fun. The campground has 18 first-come, first-served sites. Paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing and wind and kite surfing are popular.
