About this park
Sherman Reservoir State Recreation Area has over 2,800 acres of water and more than 4,700 acres of surrounding land, with excellent fishing, boating, and camping. Primary fish are walleye, crappie, catfish, white bass, and northern pike. There are three boat ramps and three docks, plus hunting on the wildlife management area and trails for hiking and wildlife viewing. The area has 12 picnic shelters, more than 100 picnic tables, and 80 grills. Camping includes over 300 non-pad basic sites and about 60 electrical sites (50/30-amp), with modern restrooms and a dump station.
