Henrys Lake State Park sits at about 6,470 feet above sea level, beneath the Centennial Mountains near Island Park. The high-mountain lake is a striking setting, with big sky and mountain views in nearly every direction. Anglers travel here for the lake's cutthroat-trout hybrid fishing, which is considered some of the best in the region. The park also offers boating, birdwatching and camping, and moose are sometimes spotted along the shoreline. Entry is $5 per vehicle, and camping costs $15 to $50 per night. The park's location close to Yellowstone National Park makes it a handy base for a wider Greater Yellowstone trip.
