Buck Creek State Park surrounds the 2,120-acre C.J. Brown Reservoir in agricultural western Ohio, a region once home to Native Americans and early pioneers. The reservoir has no horsepower limit, making it a favorite for powerboaters. A five-lane launch ramp near the park office serves the lake, with seasonal slips and a full-service marina store. An accessible pier gives anglers of all abilities a place to fish, and miles of multi-use trails pass through meadows and wetlands for hikers and horseback riders. Overnight options include family vacation cabins and a modern campground. The dam is managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers.
