Fremont Lakes State Recreation Area is three miles west of Fremont in eastern Nebraska, with about 40 land acres and nearly 300 water acres across 20 sandpit lakes. It is a favorite with campers, picnickers, and water enthusiasts who come for boating, fishing, and water skiing. Four campgrounds (Victory Lake East and West, Pathfinder, Fisherman's Point, and Cottonwood) offer Electric Plus, Electric, Basic, and Primitive sites. Reservations are available up to 180 days ahead at 1-844-637-2757. Other activities include disc golf, hiking, swimming, and food service. A group lodge can be rented, with 1,500 square feet of indoor space and an 1,800-square-foot deck.
