Gloss Mountain State Park rests in rural Fairview, about an hour west of Enid. The Gloss Mountains, sometimes called the Glass Mountains, have a high selenite content that makes them shine like glass. There is no lodging or camping here. Guests can hike the Cathedral Mountain trail from sunrise to sunset, with facilities including a restroom, pavilions, picnic areas, grills and public water. Vehicles are allowed from 7:30am to 5pm, and the park is open daily for hiking and picnicking from sunrise to sunset.
