Camp Hero State Park covers 415 acres of wooded land, Atlantic beachfront and a former military installation. Its maritime forest, freshwater wetlands, ocean views and bluffs rising from the beach are major features. An extensive trail system supports hiking, biking and horseback riding. The park offers some of the best surf fishing in the world, open 24 hours to permit holders, plus picnic areas. Wildlife and birds shelter in the undisturbed environment.
