Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill is home to one of the largest dinosaur track sites in North America. About 2,000 early Jurassic footprints are preserved under a geodesic dome, giving visitors a rare look at the tracks left by dinosaurs roughly 200 million years ago. The exhibit center offers displays, fossils and hands-on activities that make it a hit with families and school groups. Outside, a nature trail and arboretum invite a walk, and on some days visitors can make plaster casts of tracks. The park combines science with outdoor time in a way that appeals to all ages. The exhibit center costs $6 for adults and $2 for youth. Check hours before you go, since the exhibit center has set opening times.
