Cumberland Mountain State Park covers 1,720 acres on the Cumberland Plateau and is built around a Civilian Conservation Corps legacy. The iconic CCC-built bridge spans Byrd Lake and is the centerpiece of the park. Hiking trails, cabins, a campground and a championship golf course round out the offerings. The lake invites paddling and fishing. The park is a well-loved example of the CCC era.
