Fall Creek Falls State Park is one of Tennessee's largest and most visited parks, with about 29,800 acres across the Cumberland Plateau. It is best known for its waterfalls, including its namesake Fall Creek Falls, one of the tallest free-fall falls in the eastern United States. The park has an inn, cabins and camping, a golf course, a nature center and many miles of hiking trails to gorges, overlooks and cascades. Swimming, fishing and biking are also popular. Spring and fall are especially scenic, and a nature center helps visitors learn about the plateau.
