North Hero State Park was purchased in 1963 and covers 399 acres, about a third of it less than 100 feet above sea level. Lake Champlain water levels usually range from about 95 to 101 feet above sea level, so parts of the park change through the year. No staff are on site. A self-service metal box at the contact station takes day-use fees by donation. The park is open year-round.
