Bowring Ranch State Historical Park is a Hereford demonstration ranch donated by former U.S. Senator Eve Bowring in memory of her husband. A visitor center interprets Sandhills ranching, homesteading, geology, and wildlife history. Visitors can tour the museum and the historic ranch home with its antique collections, see a replica sod house, view the working cattle operation, and picnic. The visitor center is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mountain Time, from May 21 through September 30 and closed from October to mid-May. The grounds are open year-round from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mountain Time.
