Watkins Glen State Park is the most famous of the Finger Lakes state parks. Within two miles the glen's stream drops 400 feet past 200-foot cliffs, forming 19 waterfalls. The gorge path winds over and under waterfalls and through the spray of Cavern Cascade, and rim trails overlook the gorge. Campers and day visitors can use an Olympic-size pool, scheduled summer gorge tours, tent and trailer campsites and picnic facilities. Cabins are available with a three-night minimum.
