About this park
Captree State Park is on the eastern tip of Jones Island at the end of Ocean Parkway. It is home to the largest public fishing fleet on Long Island. Open and charter boats take anglers onto the Great South Bay or the Atlantic Ocean, and the boat staff provides everything needed with no license or equipment required. The fleet also runs sightseeing trips. The park also serves picnickers.
