Cedar Hill State Park is an urban oasis just a short drive from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. It borders the 7,500-acre Joe Pool Lake, where visitors boat, swim and fish, and has rugged limestone hills and rare prairie pockets. Visitors can take a self-guided tour of Penn Farm, a working farm from the mid-1800s to the mid-1900s, fish in one of the park's ponds and explore the trails on foot or by bike.
