About this park
Sackets Harbor Battlefield preserves a War of 1812 battleground on Lake Ontario that the U.S. National Park Service's American Battlefield Protection Program ranks as a Priority I site, among the most significant and most endangered. The park includes the Museum Shop, a gallery, navy yard buildings, a barn and the Hall House exhibits. The grounds are open year-round and close at dark. The facilities opened for the 2026 season on May 16, with 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. hours Tuesday-Saturday until late June and expanded hours after June 27.
