Fremont Indian State Park shows artifacts, petroglyphs and pictographs left by the Fremont Culture. The largest known Fremont village was uncovered during construction of Interstate 70, and the museum preserves objects from the site, including pottery, baskets and arrowheads. The park is a designated International Dark Sky Park. Visitors can hike the trails and camp at Castle Rock or Sam Stowe campground. The museum exhibits were posted as closed for renovations and exhibit development, so check before visiting.
