Once an industrial complex for the young United States, French Creek State Park is today an oasis for people and wildlife. Straddling the Schuylkill Highlands, the 7,730-acre park is the largest block of contiguous forest between Washington, D.C. and New York City. Its forests, lakes, wetlands and fields are a destination for hiking, fishing, camping and biking in southeast Pennsylvania. Overnight options include camping cottages, yurts and deluxe cottages, RV and tent camping, cabins and organized group camping, plus a swimming pool.
