The 968-acre Parker Dam State Park offers old-fashioned charm. A scenic lake, rustic cabins, a quaint campground and unbounded forest make it a spot for a relaxing vacation. It is also a gateway to the vast Moshannon State Forest: walk through recovering tornado-ravaged woods, backpack into the 50,000-acre Quehanna Wilderness, or mountain bike. The park has a swimming beach and offers cabins, organized group camping, and RV and tent camping.
