Adams Lake State Park is a compact 50-acre park in Ohio's Bluegrass region, one of the state's most scenic areas. Remnant prairies and a quiet lake make it a favorite stop for people who enjoy nature at a gentle pace. The 47-acre lake allows only hand-powered craft and boats with electric motors, and a small launch ramp near the entrance provides access. Anglers catch largemouth bass, bluegill, rainbow trout, channel catfish, bullhead and carp, with rainbow trout stocked in spring. A valid Ohio fishing license is required for anglers 16 and older. There is no camping at Adams Lake, so it works best as a day-use stop. Two waterfowl hunting blinds are issued each season, and visitors can also enjoy the remnant prairie habitat and the surrounding countryside.
