Eagle Island State Park covers about 545 acres of riverside land between two forks of the Boise River near Eagle. Cottonwood trees, open meadows and calm water make it a green oasis just a short drive from the Boise area. The park is popular for swimming at its beach and for water skiing on its lakes, and it also has a disc golf course, walking trails and large grassy areas for picnics and gatherings. Its size and variety make it easy to spend a full day here with family or friends. A $5 per-vehicle entry fee applies, and camping is $15 to $50 per night. Summer weekends are the busiest time, so arrive early for the best spots.
