Morphy Lake is a hidden lake at about 8,000 feet in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, at the edge of the Pecos Wilderness. It is stocked with rainbow trout, and canoeing is popular. Camping here is a unique experience. Because of parking and campsite size limits, the maximum RV length is 18 feet. Severe flooding in Mora County made the main road impassable and the park has been closed until further notice, so check park alerts before going.
