Riverbank State Park was renamed Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park in 2017 in honor of Assemblyman Herman "Denny" Farrell after 42 years of public service. The 28-acre multi-level park rises 69 feet above the Hudson River and was inspired by urban rooftop designs in Japan, which makes it the only park of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. It offers a wide range of recreational facilities, including an aquatics complex with a pool.
