Nelson-Kennedy Ledges State Park, established in 1949, protects 167 acres of angled rock formations 50 to 60 feet high, with ground fissures as deep as 60 feet. Named features include Minnehaha Falls, Cascade Falls, Devil's Hole, Devil's Icebox, Indian Pass, Old Maid's Kitchen and several caves. About three miles of marked trails, color coded by difficulty, run from easy to extreme. Visitors must stay on marked trails, keep pets leashed and avoid rock climbing, rappelling and throwing objects from the cliffs. Yellow birch, Canadian hemlock and ferns grow among the rocks, and a glass observation bridge opened in 2025. The park is open from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset, and camping is not permitted.
