Governor Earl Peshtigo River State Forest is a long, linear state forest in northeast Wisconsin along some of the most beautiful and exciting sections of the Peshtigo River. Anglers know the free-flowing portion for fly-fishing, and paddlers brave the Midwest's longest continuous whitewater rapids. The forest is open year-round from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., and a vehicle admission sticker is required. Coordinates are approximate, placed at Crivitz near the forest headquarters.
