About this park
Belmont Mound takes its name from the French belle monte, meaning beautiful mountain. The top of the mound is 1,400 feet above sea level and gives good views of the area. Wisconsin's First Capitol historic site is a half mile west of the park, which is operated by the Belmont Lions Club. A vehicle admission sticker is not currently required.
