Culpeper Battlefields State Park is Virginia's 43rd state park and protects more than 2,500 acres of historic battlefield land, dedicated on June 8, 2024. The properties were preserved by the American Battlefield Trust and the Brandy Station Foundation with the Commonwealth, and include parts of major Civil War battles at Brandy Station, Cedar Mountain, Kelly's Ford and Rappahannock Station. Visitors explore the history on interpretive walking and equestrian trails and guided tours. The Cedar Mountain visitor center and trailhead has a 1.25-mile hike with 10 interpretive signs. The park is still under development, and the coordinates are for that trailhead.
