About this park

Goose Creek State Park is in Beaufort County, about 34 miles southeast of Greenville. It offers coastal experiences ranging from wetlands on the Pamlico River to a cypress swamp seen from a long boardwalk. Remnants of boat piers, a trackless railroad bed and burnt tar kilns recall the area's lumber industry. Estuarine habitats can be explored on foot or by paddling the Pamlico River. Camping is available.
