Sunken Meadow State Park has one of the most striking views of Long Island Sound, with Connecticut in the distance. A wide range of terrain supports varied plants and animals. Three bridges cross Sunken Meadow Creek as it runs from the park interior to the tidal flats at the mouth of the Nissequogue River. South of the flats are acres of undeveloped, heavily wooded land. A nature program schedule is available by email.
