False Cape State Park lies between Back Bay and the Atlantic Ocean and is one of the last remaining undeveloped areas along the Atlantic coast. It was the home of the historic Wash Woods community, and it honors those who made a living from the sea. The park offers a chance to experience nature in a primitive setting. Visitors should bring plenty of water, sunscreen and insect repellent. The park features guided kayak trips, primitive camping and interpretive programs.
