Olive Creek State Recreation Area covers 612 acres with a 175-acre lake, where boats are limited to 5 mph. The lake holds largemouth bass, bluegill, black crappie, and channel catfish. Hunters pursue upland game, turkey, waterfowl, and deer on 437 acres. The area has 22 picnic table and grill sets, one boat ramp, and two docks. The boat ramp is currently closed because of low water. Camping is first-come, first-served with self-service payment at an Iron Ranger. There are 28 non-pad sites without electricity, with water and vault restrooms.
