About this park
Warren Grove Recreation Area was acquired from the National Park Service in the 1970s and is 617 acres of undeveloped wilderness west of the town of Warren Grove. It lies partly in the Little Pine Plains, a globally rare forest where mature trees average only 8 to 10 feet tall. A large population of the state-endangered broom crowberry grows along the edges of roads and in open fields. The area is open sunrise to sunset.
