Bowman Lake State Park is a 967-acre remote retreat described as a camper's paradise. Park roads wind through evergreen and hardwood forest to shady campsites, and a sandy lakefront has several picnic areas nearby. The lake is regularly stocked with trout, and birdwatchers can spot as many as 103 species. The park also has a nature center and a nine-hole disc golf course. In winter, snowmobilers and cross-country skiers use about 13 miles of trails.
