Kring Point State Park is a narrow peninsula with Goose Bay on its south shore and the St. Lawrence River on its north. From anywhere in the park visitors see water and many of the region's 1,864 islands. Half of the 100 campsites are on the waterfront, and almost every cabin and campsite has a river or bay view. Docks serve the river and the bay. Fishing, boating and picnicking are major activities, and visitors cross-country ski in winter.
