Somers Beach State Park is a 106-acre day-use park on the northwest shore of Flathead Lake with access to nearly a half-mile of shoreline. Montana FWP acquired the property in October 2021. A wide sandy beach is accessible when the lake drops below full pool from fall through spring. Flat gravel walking paths include a half-mile loop and a quarter-mile path to the lakeshore. The park has wetlands, riparian areas, and treed areas, and it borders a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Waterfowl Production Area. A total of 229 bird species have been documented here, making it a good place for bird watching, along with picnicking, swimming, and walking. The park is day-use only, open sunrise to sunset. All dogs must be leashed, and fires and fireworks are prohibited.
