About this park

Jenkins Ferry is one of three Civil War battle sites in south-central Arkansas from the Union Army's 1864 Red River Campaign. The land was settled by Thomas Jenkins, who started a ferry here in 1815. The Battle of Jenkins Ferry was the third leg of the campaign.
