Stephens State Park is on the Musconetcong River, an excellent trout-stocked freshwater fishing spot that flows over and around boulders. Daytime visitors use picnic tables and grills with river views, and there are numerous hiking and mountain biking trails. Tent camping is available for those who want to extend their stay. Swimming is prohibited. The gate is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the park office is open Wednesday to Sunday.
